Necromancers are the go-to class for summoning and bone magic, both of which can prove incredibly powerful when harnessed to their full potential. Summon Necromancers (also called Summonmancers) are those which focus on raising an army using Raise Skeleton and other similar abilities. Meanwhile, Bone Necromancers (Also called Bonemancers) are those which use the Teeth and Bone Spear spells to dispatch their enemies while they remain protected with Bone Armor. While there are other ways to build a Necromancer, those remain the most popular.

Playstyle
The core of Necromancer play is all about protecting yourself, either through summoning minions to draw aggro, using Bone Armor to minimize hits, blocking the way for opponents to reach you, or using curses to weaken your foes. Then, while your opponents are rendered ineffective, using high-damage ranged spells and/or summons to decimate opponents at little risk to yourself. This makes Necromancer play, even with more active builds, slower and more tactical, but safer, than other classes.

Class Tips
- The ideal way to start is with a Bone build (starting with Teeth and moving into Bone Spear as a primary method of dealing damage), and then you can respec into other builds later.
- Bone Armor is extremely effective at keeping you alive, but you need to make sure to recast it whenever you end a fight.
- Both Golems and Skeletons, and even enemies brought back with Revive, can be effective summons, but you usually want to focus on one
- Golems are better for Bone Necromancers, whereas Skeletons are better for Summon Necromancers.
- Bone Wall and Bone Prison can lock enemies in place so you can snipe them with your Bone Spear.
