A Build focusing on massive AoE damage — with it you can clear out entire rooms with a combination of huge area damage and damage over time effects, all while having better range than other Barbarian Builds.
Skills
This Build mainly revolves around the use of Upheaval. With the various boosts it gets, it will do massive AoE damage and can easily clear out entire groups of enemies.
Additional Core Skills:
- Frenzy – will help build some Fury, while increasing damage and Attack Speed.
- Charge – helps with mobility, and will help quickly build up the damage of Upheaval.
- War Cry – will give you a damage boost, as well as give an easy way to gain Berserking.
- Rupture – gives you a lot of extra damage.
- Wrath of the Berserker – a powerful buff that enhances many aspects of your Barbarian.
Passives
The Key Passive for this build is Walking Arsenal, as it will help boost your damage.
Additional Passives:
- Imposing Presence, Aggressive Resistance, Hamstring, Thick Skin, Defensive Stance, and Invigorating Fury will increase your survivability.
- Pressure Point, Outburst, Pit Fighter, Pit Vulnerability, Slaying Strike, Counteroffensive will boost your damage.
- Swiftness, Prolific Fury, and Tempered Fury

For this Build, you will want to have Polearm Expertise equipped. This will give a huge boost to Lucky Hit Chance.

Equipment
The Hellhammer is an essential piece, as it gives Upheaval an extra effect to burn the ground. Battle Trance will give you a huge Attack Speed boost, making Upheaval much more effective. Fields of Crimson and X’fal’s Corroded Signet combo well to give you free area damage, while Crown of Lucion and Fists of Fate will both boost your overall damage.
On top of these pieces, you will want these Legendary Aspects:
- Edgemaster – will further boost the damage of Upheaval.
- Luckbringer – makes your Walking Arsenal Passive more effective.
- Ghostwalker – improves your mobility.
- Starlight – helps keep your Rage high
- Concussive Strikes and Creeping Death – boosts your overall damage.
You will want to use Sapphire Gems on your weapons, Amethyst Gems on your armor, and a mix of gems for different Resistances on your jewelry.
