An easy-to-use Build that offers great offense and defense, while smiting enemies with holy rays and thunder.
Skills
This Build mainly revolves around taking advantage of the Aegis of Valor and overwhelming enemies with Fists of the Heavens and Heaven’s Fury. Fists of the Heavens is used to gain damage reduction, Wrath, and to empower your Heaven’s Fury, which will be the primary source of damage.
Aside from these two, the other core Skills in this Build are:
- Akarat’s Champion – a staple in Crusader builds; it gives you a boost in both offense and defense.
- Laws of Valor – gives an Attack Speed boost while helping keep your Wrath high.
- Judgment or Shield Glare – can be used to further boost the damage of Heaven’s Fury.
- Iron Skin – used to give a boost in damage reduction.
- Steed Charge – used to boost mobility.
Passives
- Heavenly Strength – needed in order to equip a 2-Handed Weapon and Shield.
- Holy Cause – since Fists of the Heavens and Heavens Fury deal Holy damage, this becomes a massive source of healing.
- Finary – gives a strong boost to offense and defense.
- Hold Your Ground – allows the passive from Ivory Tower to trigger more often.
- Long Arm of the Law – use if not equipping the Hellfire Amulet, to keep the Laws of Valor active effect up.
Equipment
The primary armor for this Build will be the Aegis of Valor set. You will need five pieces of it for the full effect (if you Cube the Royal Ring of Grandeur). The Fate of the Fell, Shield of Fury, and Bracer of Fury all greatly enhance the damage of Heaven’s Fury, while Ivory Tower will allow you to get free casts of it. The Captain Crimson’s Trimmings set will increase both your damage and survivability.
Gogok of Swiftness, Bane of the Trapped, and Bane of the Stricken are generally the best Legendary Gems. Gogok of Swiftness will greatly increase your Cooldown Reduction, Attack Speed, and Dodge, while the other two will further increase your damage.
