This build gives the Barbarian somewhat of a ranged option while dealing large AoE damage.
Skills
This build mainly focuses around the use of Ancient Spear with the Boulder Toss Rune. Furious Charge is another important Skill, as it gains all of its Rune effects, gains a huge damage boost, and further boosts the damage of Ancient Spear.
Along with these two Skills, the other core Skills are:
- Weapon Throw – used to further boost the damage of Ancient Spear.
- Wrath of the Berserker – a powerful buff that will enhance all aspects of the Barbarian.
- Battle Rage – gives an additional boost to damage.
- War Cry, Threatening Shout, and Ignore Pain are all good choices for damage reduction.
Passives
- Rampage – boosts the Barbarian’s Strength, giving them both an offensive and defensive increase.
- Boon of Bul-Kathos – used to keep Wrath of the Berserker up at all times.
- No Escape – increases the damage of both Ancient Spear and Weapon Throw, and further supports the ranged playstyle of this build.
- Relentless – grants damage reduction when at low health, and synergizes well with The Legacy of Raekor’s 4-piece bonus.
- Nerves of Steel – can be used to have a safety net from dying.
Equipment
The primary armor will be The Legacy of Raekor set. You will need five pieces of it for the full effect (if you Cube the Royal Ring of Grandeur). The Three Hundredth Spear, Arreat’s Law, and Skular’s Salvation all further increase the damage of Ancient Spear. The Endless Walk set, the Captain Crimson’s Trimmings set, and The Furnace will all increase your overall damage. Band of Might and Ancient Parthan Defenders will grant more damage reduction.
Bane of the Trapped, Bane of the Stricken, and Zei’s Stone of Vengeance are generally the best Legendary Gems, as all of them will further boost your damage.
