Also known as “zDH Build” for “zero” damage
A highly flexible build that will greatly enhance the damage of others. This is considered one of the best support builds in the game across all Classes.
Keep in mind that this build is only meant to be used in groups, as the Demon Hunter themself will do little to no damage.
Skills
This build mainly focuses around Entangling Shot and the massive offensive boost it provides when using the Odyssey’s End. The other major Skill will be Strafe, as it will quickly spread Entangling Shot to enemies around you.
Aside from these two Skills, the other core Skills are:
- Companion – will grant an extra burst of damage to the party.
- Multishot – will add an extra Critical Hit Chance on enemies hit by it.
- Bolas – can be used to pull enemies in an area.
- Marked for Death – can be used to give the group an extra damage boost.
- Smoke Screen – can be used to give some mobility and survivability.
- Sentry – can be used to give your party a boost in defense.
Passives
- Awareness – gives you a safety net from dying.
- Numbing Traps – reduces the damage enemies will deal to your group.
- Blood Vengeance – increases your maximum Hatred and gives another source of replenishing it.
- Tactical Advantage – will grant a boost in mobility if using Smoke Screen.
- Custom Engineering – can be used if you are using Sentry, to allow an extra one of them to be active.
Equipment
The primary armor for the Support Build will be the Gears of Deadlands set. You will only need three pieces of it to get the effects relevant for this build (if you Cube the Royal Ring of Grandeur). Odyssey’s End is another essential piece, as the boost it gives to the Entangling Shot is the main draw of this build. Leoric’s Crown (with a Flawless Royal Topaz) and the Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac will give you a large amount of Cooldown Reduction. The Flavor of Time will double the duration of Pylon effects for your group, and Nemesis Bracers will cause more enemy champions to spawn.
The Gem of Efficacious Toxin, Iceblink, and Gogok of Swiftness are generally the best Legendary Gems. The Gem of Efficacious Toxin and Iceblink will allow your group to deal more damage, while the Gogok of Swiftness will increase your Attack Speed, Cooldown Reduction, and Dodge.
